PhoneBook Mode
You can switch between the Phonebook and S.M.S. Messages mode using the two buttons onto the toolbar as showed in the picture below.
When you connect a device left panel below the toolbar displays its main data. The button in this panel can enable or disable the connection with the device connected. When a connection has been enabled, you will see the name and the software revision of connected phone but also the strong of network signal and the phone's battery level.
The data are displayed in two panels: Group / Memory List and Contact List.
The Group / Memory List displays the contact folders following: DataBase, Apple's Address Book, all the phone's memories. It displays read-only memories as well (dialled numbers, missed and received calls with time of last call).
Each folder, group, memory displays (in brackets) the contact numbers and following the bar the maximum contacts number you are able to save. If it displays only 1 number in brackets, it means the maximum number of contacts you are able to save in memory. You can see all the information available for groups and memories just clicking on the item's name. If you want to edit folders or groups' name, double click on the item's name.
The Contact List displays all the contacts in selected Group and Memory List. The information are reported in two columns (Name/Type of Number and Telephone Number). Multiple contacts (names with several telephone numbers) are groupped in hierarchical mode to make easy viewing and editing. To edit a contact you should do a double-click on it or a single click on Edit contact contextual-menu item (ctrl-click or right mouse button).
The Reload button reloads all the data from the Apple's Address Book or from the phone's memory selected. You must use this button if you edit contacts directly by your mobile phone or Apple's Phone Book when connected. When connected, external changes are not discovered by MegaCellX then you must use the "Reload" button the update it.
